Reminders & check-ins

Getting check-in calls to ring (Android)

On Android, a check-in can ring like a real call — once a few permissions are in place.

Android

On Android, a check-in can ring like a real phone call — but Android needs a few permissions for that to work. If your check-ins aren't ringing, here's how to fix it.

Choose call delivery

Go to Settings → Check-ins & notifications → Check-in delivery and choose Call me (rather than Send a notification).

Check call readiness

The same screen shows a Call readiness card. If anything's missing, it tells you. Myndo needs three things to ring you:

  • Notifications — turned on.
  • Ringtone-style calls — permission to place call-style alerts.
  • Full-screen on lock screen — permission to show the call over your lock screen.

Tap the buttons on the card to grant whatever's missing, then tap Refresh. Once all three show Ready, your check-ins will ring like a call.
